Can buskers actually use this live?

Yes. Many buskers use ToneBrowser as their main backing rig. They decide a key at rehearsal and then make a ±1–2 semitone adjustment on the day to match their voice condition.

A recommended performance setup

Phone (ToneBrowser) → Bluetooth speaker (30W or more recommended) → a wireless or wired dynamic mic.

To reduce audio loss, a wired connection (a 3.5mm cable) is safer than Bluetooth.

Things to watch for

Fully charge the battery and keep some mobile data in reserve. Because playback is streaming-based, it stops if your internet drops mid-show.

Check copyright. Commercial use in street performance varies widely between local authorities and copyright associations.

Take the music into your own hands.
