A-B Loop — drill the hard measure until it sticks

Repetition is the single most effective way to practise an instrument or a vocal line. ToneBrowser gives you an A-B loop that repeats any section of a video endlessly with just two taps.

How to triple your practice efficiency

If you play a song from start to finish and only practise the hard part when it comes around, that part gets less than 10% of your actual practice time. With an A-B loop you can repeat a difficult four bars more than twenty times a minute.

Used together with speed control, you can drill in stages — twenty reps at 0.5x, twenty at 0.75x, then twenty at full speed.

Use cases

Vocal: loop just the high part of the second chorus to check your voice condition.

Guitar solo: loop two fast bars at 0.5x with the pitch left untouched.

Language learning: loop a single sentence for pronunciation shadowing.

DJ mixing: loop four bars around a drop to set cue points.

Set up a loop

  1. 1While the video plays, tap A at the start point.
  2. 2Tap B at the end point. From that moment the A→B section repeats automatically.
  3. 3Long-press the time readout to adjust the start and end to the second by hand.
  4. 4Tap CLR to clear the loop when you no longer need it.

Take the music into your own hands.
